Manage your data and account status
At FetchAm, we respect your right to privacy and your right to control your personal data. If you no longer wish to use our services, you can request the complete deletion of your account and associated personal information.
What Happens When You Delete Your Account?
- Profile Data: Your name, email, phone number, and delivery addresses will be permanently removed from our active databases.
- Order History: Your past orders will be anonymized for financial auditing and tax compliance, but they will no longer be linked to your identity.
- Platform Credits: Any unused Promo Codes or platform credits tied to your account will be forfeited and cannot be recovered.
- App Access: You will be immediately logged out of the FetchAm mobile app and will need to create a new account if you wish to use the service again.
How to Request Deletion
You can delete your account directly through the FetchAm mobile app or by contacting our support team.
Method 1: Via the Mobile App (Recommended)
- Open the FetchAm app and log in to your account.
- Navigate to your Profile & Settings.
- Scroll down to the bottom and select Delete Account.
- Confirm your choice. Your account will be queued for immediate deletion.
Method 2: Via Email
If you no longer have the app installed, you can request deletion by email:
- Send an email to privacy@fetcham.ng from the email address associated with your FetchAm account.
- Use the subject line: Account Deletion Request.
- Include your full name and the phone number registered to the account.
- We will process your request within 7 business days and send a confirmation email once your data has been removed.
Data Retention Exceptions
Please note that while your personal profile will be deleted, we are required by Nigerian law and our payment processors to retain certain transactional data (such as payment receipts and refund logs) for a specific period to prevent fraud and comply with financial regulations. This retained data is strictly secured and only used for compliance purposes.
