By accessing or using the FetchAm application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Service.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of the Service after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.
2. Description of Services
FetchAm provides a platform connecting customers with personal shoppers ("Runners") who purchase foodstuffs from local markets and deliver them to customers' designated locations.
FetchAm is strictly a marketplace and logistics platform, not a financial institution. We do not hold user financial balances, maintain digital wallets for storing funds, or facilitate peer-to-peer money transfers.
We facilitate the connection between customers and Runners but do not directly sell foodstuffs. Prices displayed are estimates based on current market prices and may vary.
3. Account Registration
To use our Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use our Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Orders and Payments
When you place an order, you agree to pay the estimated grocery cost plus applicable service and delivery fees. Final prices may vary based on actual market prices.
All payments are processed securely by licensed third-party payment processors (such as Paystack). FetchAm does not process, store, or transmit your credit card details or banking information. You authorize our payment partners to charge your selected payment method for the goods and services requested.
5. Delivery
Delivery times are estimates and may vary based on traffic, market conditions, and other factors. We strive to deliver within the estimated timeframe but cannot guarantee exact delivery times.
You must provide accurate delivery information and be available to receive your order. We are not responsible for failed deliveries due to incorrect addresses or recipient unavailability.
6. Refunds and Returns
If you receive items that are spoiled, damaged, or significantly different from what you ordered, you may request a refund within 24 hours of delivery.
Refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. We may require photos or other evidence to process your refund. Approved refunds will be credited to your original payment method.
7. User Conduct
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:
- Provide false or misleading information
- Harass or abuse Runners or other users
- Attempt to circumvent fees or manipulate the platform
- Use the Service for any illegal activity
8. Limitation of Liability
FetchAm is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific order in question.
We do not guarantee the quality or safety of products sold at markets. Runners exercise reasonable care in selecting items, but ultimate responsibility for food safety lies with the market vendors.
9. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or through the app. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
